I think it's because of the sudden influx of new players from the factions event. Then again, didn't heaps of demanding idiots leave because they lost their UAS? Think it would balance the playerbase out.

Basically, expect more of it as factions is released as well as the preview event.

The game absolutely FROZE on me for maybe 10-20 seconds when someone messaged me. Like WTF. Never done that before.

I really love the "rubber-band" lag. I had it hit me hard on Abaddon's Mouth ages ago. My party went to go fight Dryders, and right when I get to them I get flinged back about 30 yards. It also took about two minutes for something I said to display. After about 5-7 minutes it finally went away. FORTUNATELY I didn't drop, thank ANet for that one.

Ahh, rubber-banding is great fun.

I also tend to call it the "running against a really strong wind" lag as well.

My absolute favorite type of lag, usually happens to me only in TA or RA, and it's where i experience much this same thing, and i'm hitting skills to attack/heal/dodge whatever, and they just don't activate .... they just do the nice pretty swirly-animation like they are about to. I can get 4 or 5 of them swirling all at once.

Only difference i've noticed recently, is when this happens to me I can still see everyone else running around and fighting each other, who don't seem to be lagging at all, so I throw up connection diagnostics on my other computer (right next to the one I play GW on, and on the same network) and my connection is rock-solid. ANet thinks my build is too powerful, and is giving me a handicap?

It has been happening a bit to me also. Last night I was out wandering and killed some stone summit. No other enemies in the area. Nothing. But I was still getting hit by a ranger. I had to walk a long ways before I found him and put an end to him.

Everyone once in a while I get locked in place along with everyone else on my screen, no one moves at all. If there is any degen on anyone they eventually die, otherwise health returns to full and we all just stand there. It usually goes on until I close GW, and then I can't log back in immediately because it just says connecting...

It happened to one of my guildies when he was trying to finish THK. He got locked up and kicked out on 6 seperate occasions (as is Anet didn't want him to finish the mission) one of them was right as Dorian came into the keep.

it happend to me too in HoH .. everything just stop .. except the pets wont stop howling .. after 5 mins .. then I got the WONDERFUL "err7" message.
